Feadship Unveils 377-Foot Superyacht Concept with a Glass-Bottomed Pool That Extends Into the Interior

Dutch luxury yacht builder Feadship has unveiled Hive, an extraordinary 377-foot (115-metre) superyacht concept that pushes the boundaries of luxury yacht design, onboard experiences and sustainable innovation. Presented at the Monaco Yacht Show, this ambitious creation is Feadship's largest concept to date, offering a glimpse into the future of superyachting.

A Superyacht Inspired by Nature

Drawing inspiration from the intricate structure of a beehive, Hive reimagines traditional superyacht layouts by placing social interaction and shared experiences at the heart of its design.

Developed by Studio De Voogt in collaboration with Feadship's engineering and naval architecture teams, the concept features a spectacular four-deck central gathering space inspired by the vibrant salons of 1930s Paris.

Rather than following conventional yacht interiors, this innovative space can transform into an elegant lounge, performance venue or auditorium, with sweeping staircases connecting multiple decks and private retreats.

Exceptional Features and Unparalleled Luxury

Among Hive's most remarkable features is its 65-foot glass-bottomed swimming pool, positioned on the owner's deck and extending into the yacht's interior, creating a striking architectural centrepiece.

The superyacht also boasts a two-storey beach club with waterfront dining for 24 guests, a circular glass-enclosed library surrounded by a secluded garden, and an underwater observation lounge offering breathtaking views beneath the surface.

For those seeking an unforgettable experience, an additional observation lounge features a retractable roof, allowing guests to admire the night sky while cruising.

Innovation Meets Sustainable Superyacht Technology

Beyond its impressive aesthetics, Hive incorporates advanced propulsion technologies designed to support more sustainable yachting.

The concept combines HVO-compatible generators, fuel-cell technology and a 5 MWh battery system, with proposed zero-emission cruising capabilities.

With a projected top speed of 16 knots and a cruising range of up to 9,500 nautical miles using HVO at 12 knots, Hive demonstrates how exceptional performance and environmental considerations can coexist.

The Future of Luxury Yachting

Although Hive remains a concept, its visionary design reflects the evolving expectations of luxury yacht owners, where personalisation, innovative technology and meaningful onboard experiences take centre stage.

At UNICO Yachting, we follow the latest developments shaping the global superyacht industry, bringing yacht enthusiasts and prospective owners closer to the innovations redefining life at sea.
