Charles Leclerc Registers Luxury Yacht Under the Maltese Flag

Formula 1 star Charles Leclerc has reportedly registered his new superyacht under the Maltese flag, highlighting Malta’s continued appeal as a leading maritime hub for high-net-worth yacht owners.

Footage circulating on social media shows the yacht flying the Maltese ensign, indicating its registration under the Malta Ship Registry, one of the most respected flag administrations in the global superyacht industry.

The vessel in question is believed to be a brand-new Riva 102’ Corsaro Super, a 31-metre Italian-built superyacht delivered earlier this month. The yacht is widely reported to be worth around €13–15 million, depending on configuration and customisation.

Designed with a strong focus on performance and leisure, the yacht features a large “beach club” area at the stern, multiple guest cabins with en-suite bathrooms, and expansive glass-lined interiors offering panoramic sea views. It can accommodate up to 10 guests, making it suitable for private cruising in the Mediterranean.

Leclerc’s decision to register the yacht in Malta aligns with a broader trend among superyacht owners who choose the jurisdiction for its efficient registration process, EU-based regulatory framework, and strong international reputation. The Malta flag is particularly popular among owners operating in the Mediterranean due to its flexibility and established maritime infrastructure.

The acquisition adds to Leclerc’s growing portfolio of luxury assets and reinforces his status as one of Formula 1’s most commercially successful drivers.

For yacht owners considering registration, Malta remains one of the most attractive flag states globally, offering a streamlined and internationally respected registration process. To learn more about registering your yacht under the Malta flag, contact us here.
